Default 94 Medalist-Possibly buying

Ran across a lady with a 94 Medalist. Cart has been parked a while. Looks intact. Batteries will need to be replaced. She said her grandkids were driving it last and it just quit working. She said they may have run over some brush, or something?? Maybe motor issues? Aside from batteries, what’s the best case , worse case that I’m looking at to get this running? I would be able to do any replacement work myself-I can google..lol
Is this a series motor?
Thanks,

On a side note: she only wants $100 for it. Should I grab it anyway? I can already sense the desires to upgrade voltage, tires, wheels, lift kit, Ext. What to do? What to do?

For $100 you can't loose- grab it.
The dead batteries are worth that.

Looked at the car again. The bed on it alone is worth $100. The seat has been laying off of the battery compartment, and the plastic cover over the solenoid is missing. I’m a little concerned about the effects of weather due to this cart sitting outside for a year or so. Also noted that the battery tray need to be replaced, along with all cables, and probably some other wiring. Not saying it’s a bad basket case, just not sure if I ready to take on this big of a project right now.
Also ran across a very clean PDS that I can (hopefully get pretty cheap) but trying to decide which cart is the best deal for me. The PDS needs batteries, and cables, but I’m hoping I can get it for $300-400.... Decisions,decisions.....

Do you take these to a recycling facility? Or what else would you do with them?

When you buy new batteries, you are expected to give an equal amount of cores on trade. Around here, no cores means another $25 per battery.

I'd buy both carts and sell the old one for twice what you're paying for it.
