Re: 1994 Medalist winter project
Finished up the wiring this afternoon and mounted the headlights, it's starting to look like a cart again, at least the front end.

Re: 1994 Medalist winter project
I'm slowly getting all of the needed parts together to finish up my winter project and will have everything except the batteries by the end of March.
I already have the 400 amp solenoid from Scottyb, will I hurt anything by working any bugs out testing the cart on 36volts (I still have the 6volt batteries)? I want to make sure everything is wired/installed correctly then change the solenoid resistor when I get my 8volt batteries. |

Re: 1994 Medalist winter project
The MZJ400-48 solenoid will run on 36 or 48v.
The Alltrax controllers will run on 36 or 48v. |

Re: 1994 Medalist winter project
Was able to get back out in the garage this morning armed with a wiring diagram for a Alltrax SR controller to hopefully understand where wires will go once I make the change. I feel pretty comfortable with just about everything except where the 2 wires that are marked with an arrow will go. The black wire with yellow terminal goes from the controller to the small -side of the solenoid. The larger black wire is the negative for pack charger and will go directly to the negative of last battery in series. Not sure where the blue wire with yellow terminal originates but ends on the large +side of solenoid and the large white wire is positive for pack charger and will go directly to positive of first battery in series.
Will the small black and blue wires go to J5 and J6 on the Alltrax SR controller? As always any help is appreciated! |
