Default Convert Crows foot to 3Pin on 89 DS

Going 48V and would like to change the connector, Has anyone converted their crows foot to a 3PIN on a DS?

Also can anyone recommend an onboard charger for 89 DS Series?

(I understand the crows foot conversion wont matter with an onboard charger)

Thanks

The 3 pin cord end is found on chargers that only work with the OBC.
This is not something you want in your 89 CC. Those chargers will only work with the factory on board computer. Besides the old crows foot is more HD and actually handles high current better than the 3 pin.

If You go with an onboard charger, you may want to replace the crowfoot receptacle with something like this:

These are a great option for on board. I am currently waiting on production of our new 20 amp 48 volt version. Expected delivery is about 4 weeks out or Jan 1st right now.

Thanks guys!

Scottyb still lovin my C54. My current batts are on their way out, now is a good time to upgrade to 48v. Also where are most guys installing the onboard charger. I already have one for my 12v accessory batt. I'm definitely losing room under the hood.

Thanks Sergio, I've saved the link

Space can be a problem in the Club Car. I have seen somebody make a box in the rear bagwell for an on-board charger. Basically, it is better for the charger to stay at home and not be subjected to the heat, dust, and vibration of on-board life.

For the most part this is why you don't see too many on board charger applications. A charger would have to be potted in resin to take the abuse, like the controllers are and I think the price would rise to what the controllers cost also. Like the Lester Summit series. Problem with the Lester is they are huge and the price is high, or you have to settle for a low amperage output to bring the price down.
