Re: batteries
We all know how it is....the tradesman's house/car/whatever is never quite finished or as good as it should be because he/she is always too busy working on everyone else's house/car/whatever.

Re: batteries
Well I got my cart back last night, As I said it was important to me to have my cart back for the christmas event.
I wanted the 12 volt to 6 8 volt conversion so I sent the cart out to have the mod done I wanted Trojan ranger 160 batteries. After waiting a week and not being able to get the ranger batteries in a timely manor I was going to AGM batteries. but after getting a response from Scotty and David Hicks I changed the order and wound up with a new set of Trojan 875 batteries and the mod looks pretty good. The cart was delivered last night and I put it on charge right away, In fact it's still on charge this morning. My charger seems to be working ok with the new batteries it seems to be taking a long time tho. Is that normal? I still need to hook up the lights, The battery company hooked the lights up to 8 volt where it was a 12 volt battery. Question do I just move the factory blue wire from the battery pack to the voltage reducer? With the money saved from the batteries I may get a few more parts that I want. big controller, solenoid, set of 2 guage cables ect. |

Re: batteries
new batteries are settled in and have a full charge. I went on a 3 mile ride around the park and after the ride the batteries came back up to 50.3 volts
Its nice having the digital battery gauge from Scotty. Now that I have a comfort level for the carts batteries I'm going to wait until after this little outing that my wife wants before I do anymore with the cart. Just before the battery company delivered my cart I ask them to bring their best deep cycle 12 volt battery with a battery box. That is what I will use for all the christmas lights my wife wants. i dont want anything to mess this up for her. |
