Default ezgo marathon goes in forward not revers

I am trying to fix a 90 model ezgo marathon 36 v cart for a lady. The forward reverse switch was new and installed by another guy and the cart runs in forward but not reverse. I looked at wiring diagrams and every thing looks to be in the correct spot. However the back up beeper dosent work either and the selonoid doesn't "click" when pressing pedal even though the cart does work in forward. Im thinking either its stuck closed or always energized but I dont know why it would be since all wires seem to be in the right spot. Any help would be great since the lady(80) uses it to get around the neighbor hood. Thanks in advance

The F&R has 2 micro switches, one is closed in both directions and one in reverse only. I'm thinking he has the solenoid wired to the reverse micro instead of the F&R micro and then reverse S1 and S2 from the motor to swap direction? But I could be wrong if the lever is right

Check out the micro switches, make sure the one connecting to the solenoid via the potentiometer micro switch is triggered in both F&R

switched the left and right wires on the f/r switch and the cart moved in reverse in the forward position. so swapped them back. the red wire from the limit switch from on the passanger side of the cart that engages both positions is connected to the potentionmetter micro. Does this make any more sense now...lol. Is there something else to check?

found the issue with the f/r. the limit switch would not disengage all the way when turned to the reverse position. it was just barley clicked in. as for the solenoid I'm not sure if its hung up or what but the cart is engaging in both directions now. Thanks for your help
