Default 09 rxv alignment

Wife tagged curb hard. Had to put on new steering rack and A-arm. Installed ok. Need to set alignment. I get that front and back of wheels need to be close or slightly toe in from what I read for pepper alignment. My main question is how much do the rod ends need to be threaded on for safe driving? I think to get tires lined up properly, rod ends don't seem threaded on enough. How far down the threads are yours? I'm thinking half inch of threads holding is risky...

It sounds like your wishbone (Frame) was racked (Bent out of square) to one side. It's very easy to have happen. You may need someone with a frame machine to pull it back into square. Yours is likely repairable fairly easy. Mine was not so lucky. I have a 2012 wishbone here that is still severely racked. I hunted for a replacement wishbone for months. I ended up buying a partsed out replacement RXV from a flood zone to rebuild.

What would you guess is the appropriate amount that steering rod threads into the rod ends?

That depends upon any suspension mods, but my stock suspension 2008 RXV has both steering rod ends threaded in about 3/4 of the way.
