Default Does the charger + need to go to battery post?

I'm rewiring my cart and have a 8 gauge maxi fuse holder with a 40 amp fuse that comes out of the 2 gauge battery cable that goes to a terminal stud for the 12v converter and 48v meter. Is it OK if I hook the charger + wire on the stud and go through the fuse to charge with?

Right now I'll be using the OBC but plan on going to a on-board summit II later on.

Yes, You can connect to the fuse block, as long as your supply wire to the fuse block is at least the same size as the charge wire. Do not fuse the charge wire assembly through your fuse block. Connect to the terminal stud on the supply side of the block.

Some people also run the charge cable back to the positive post of the solenoid to prevent corrosion of the eyelet connector and wire.

In my case it would have to run through the fuse. I have the 8 gauge maxi fuse holder crimped right into the lug along with the 2 gauge cable. (see the picture) The maxi fuse is much larger then the typical ATO fuses that are used.
