Club car speed upgrade questions
I"M SO CONFUSED!!!!!
I purchased a speed kit from Buggies Unlimited and the directions they sent don't match the parts that I received. I've reached back out to them several times for help on wiring up the golf cart but no luck getting the car running. The forward and reverse switch is different and the solenoid. Also the resistors they sent don't match the directions either. I feel like I have all the heavy wiring done correctly but the activation wiring is whats tripping me up. If anyone has experience hooking these things up I could really use some help. |

As Budule said, we need to know what you're working with. What controller do you have?

Re: Club car speed upgrade questions
It’s a 2002 club car. The controller they sent is a Curtis controller with a Curtis solenoid. The directions don’t match the actual items.
Solenoid is sw180. No power when I press the accelerator! So perplexed!!! |

It’s the lever that swings right to left.

Thanks so much for sending. I have it all wired this way but something isn’t jiving with the power. I’ll keep trying.

What if my f&r switch don't match the one in the photo? Slightly different on the bottom.

Re: Club car speed upgrade questions
Yours probably has two cables going in at the bottom which is normal, it is for half speed reverse with one of those cables going to the center of your battery pack. When the aftermarket guys sell these heavy duty ones they add a bus bar to the bottom so you can have full power reverse.
Edit: Maybe that is not correct since this is a controller cart. |
