2017 Precedent DC AC conversion - cart won't go
I have reviewed the wiring diagram and can not see where my issue is. I have voltage at controller, solenoid is engaging, Forard reverse switch is working. Key switch is working. Navitas app reports everything correctly. When pressing the gas pedal, wheels don't turn. Voltage reading on throttle in the app doesn't change.
Hope this helps narrow down the source of the problem. |

That is your problem. Either the throttle is not set correctly to the controller or something is amiss with the throttle signal to the controller. Check your throttle output....

I do not have the dealer Bluetooth application yet. I wonder if I must set-up the settings in the dealer app first. Could this be part of the issue?

Re: 2017 Precedent DC AC conversion - cart won't go
After checking everything one more time, I do in fact have voltage on my throttle input. I show .26-.45 at idle, and it maxes out at 4.25-4.40 volts. Not getting 4.99 which is what I am seeing in some YouTube videos online. Not to worried with that small detail yet. I suspect I must set-up the Controller using the Navitas dealer application first.

4.60v is all you need, but that is on a Curtis controller. Your Navitas should auto-cal or allow you to input the range.

Re: 2017 Precedent DC AC conversion - cart won't go
So after a call to Navitas, plus some additional troubleshooting on my end, I found the solenoid was jammed a bit and was not fully closing. Brand new solenoid, must have been tossed around a bit during shipping.
As soon as I played with the springs in the solenoid, It opened right up. Then when I engaged the throttle, a definite and pronounced click was heard and wheels started moving. Very excited to get this cart back together and see what this moto can do. |
