2003 Club Car DS / Powerdrive 3 charging question?

Hey all,

Quick question, with the cart mentioned in the title, I just purchased brand new trojan T875 batts. With that being said, I do not want to jeopardize the money spent. I currently have the cart on charge after running my daughter around my property. The battery indicator on my dash went from where it was after driving to full, the charger keeps running. I guess the question is, how long does the Powerdrive 3 run once the battery indicator shows full? I do not w ant to hurt the batteries. Thanks everyone!!!

The "Full" has nothing to do with it during charging. They are not good at all and you should really install an accurate digital gauge.

With that being said, the PD3 can run up to 16 hours with new batteries as it has to work in the plates. It will get up to 60-63vdc so do not panic if you check it with a meter. After 16 hours it will time out if not completed.

The charger is designed to work of energy units consumed once it gets enough information into the OBC. It will also work of voltage rise as it tops off.

It is designed to work automatically so just let it run till it cuts off.
