2015 RXV charging issue
I have a 2015 RXV and last couple of times I rode it the digital gauge on the cart read some where around 85% when taking off the charger after it had been plugged up for at least a day. I also just used the link in the forum to do a battery post repair by drilling and tapping the main battery positive. I havent really been impressed with these trojan t875's since i bought them.
do the attached pics say anything about health of my batteries? they are trojans that are probably about 24 months old. |

Re: 2015 RXV charging issue
i noticed that being 0 but I was in a hurry to get to work when i did this and there is a birds nest of wires where the charger is but its not supposed to be unplugged. May need to check that. lights do come on the charger if its plugged to the cart only?

So, I just read the quote again and I have never had the occasion to have it plugged into the cart with the ac not connected. Don't actually know what the light show is in that case. As far as setting up the connect app, the DC connection to the cart is required but my manual says nothing about requiring the AC connection to be disabled when doing so. . |

Re: 2015 RXV charging issue
I think I took the screen shot above before the Ac power registered but the cart is still showing 87%ish when i turn the cart on after charging overnight or after a couple nights.

Re: 2015 RXV charging issue
why is ac power to the charger cut off ever?
If you plug it in to the cart after a ride does the charge actually finish indicated by a blue light (power) and a steady green light (charge complete). That light show should stay the same until you unplug from the cart or the charger might start an equalization cycle (flashing green) on its own and independent of anything you do. When it finishes that it will revert to the steady blue and green light. Is it possible the AC plug you are using is switched? (Like in the movie Christmas Vacation) |
