Default EZ go PDS, new motor, new alltrax xct, troubleshooting

hi on my PDS i have a brand new 36volt motor (4.45hp,2565 RPM) i am pairing it with a alltrax XCT 48500 both are brand new and on startup i get a blinking green light (3) indicating throttle and then solid green. When i go to press the pedal i get the 1-5 indicating motor field failure. i checked the 4 cables from motor to controller and all look good. disconnecting and measuring ohms between f1 and f2 from controller reads 1.5 ohms. controller would give the fault when i depress the pedal and when i let go it would return to its solid green state.

any ideas on what else it can be?
ive tried tracing the wiring diagram multiple times. only thing i can think of would possibly be the solenoid wiring?
it is also a brand new heavy duty solenoid (square)

thanks in advance

Throttle type should be ITS indicated by 4 green blinks and solid green light when the solenoid just clicks. I always turn the controller max armature amperage down to 450-460 amps for this motor so it won't kill itself.

1-5 means a dead short in the motor. But you said you ohm checked it?
Should be continuity between the F terminals and between the 2 A terminals. But no continuity between any A and any F terminal. Test when disconnected from the cart.

between F1 and f2 there is continuity with 1.5ohms
between A1 and A2 there is continuity with approx .1 ohms
no continuity between either f and a cables.
out of curiosity i depressed the pedal with all motor cables completely disconnected with the exception of the speed sensor plug and get the same 1-5 code

could the speed sensor possibly trigger this?
on the motor it has three cables (blk/red/grn) and i attached them to the (blk/red/wht) plug respectively

Sounds like you did the speed sensor correctly. You may have a bad control? Can you connect to the software and look for fault codes?

just downloaded and connected to the software the only thing that shows is the error flag *open field alarm and that only shows when the pedal is depressed and after solenoid clicks and again this is with all F and A cables disconnected.

updated, ended up being a faulty controller. Was able to get controller replaced through alltrax.

installed and now cart finally works.

another question, which settings would need to be set for this motor. seems like it is much slower compared to the factory motor.

i set max motoring armature is set to 460
max motoring battery amp is set to 460
max regen armature 64
max regen batt amp 64

Speed limit 2558rpm
throttle rate 25%

throttle setting ITS
Standard

does this look about right for this motor?

You need to make sure you have the correct map for the motor and rpm should be closer to 6000 depending on the motor specs

Do you know where I can get the map? Or is it settings that I can enter in? Motor is new from buggies unlimited 4.45hp 36v AMD I believe
