Default Switching from series to Sepex.

I have a 1991 shuttle, series. Planning on using a Nissan Leaf pack I made and am getting into the wiring. I just got a Navitas 600 amp controller that will work on both series an Sepex. I’m thinking or switching since I need a motor anyways and it will take about 20 feet of battery cables out of the cart that lead to the f/r switch.

Does anyone know the part number for the correct harness? The throttle cables, from the pedal, and the key switch should be the same, right? So the harness would just connect the motor to the controller? Are there any other connections on the harness that lead to anything else?

I will try to see if I can help you get the correct harness.

Which controller do you currently have?

The motor only connects to the controller. The Harness connects the controller to your cart's existing wiring harness.

I am curious why you need an additional 20' of battery cable?

Also, the Navitas controller is capable of handling the F/R switching internally for sepx, allowing you to replace that big mechanical switch with a push button or toggle switch. However, I am not sure which harness you would need for that, you might even have to replace the entire cart harness.

Need to know what harness adapter you have first and what plugs it has.. I’m thinking PDS but better to ask. Rockford the extra cable runs from the fnr switch next to your leg in the front pod all the way back to the motor controller

The Controller it came with was a Curtis 1205-112. It only has 3 spade terminals.

I don’t need an additional 20 feet of cable. I’m getting rid of it by not using the f/r switch because it’s a limo.

I plan on using an switch instead and running an Sepex.

It has the basic spade connections. I think black, white and blue. There is also a headlight and brakes but I don’t think they are integrated.

It is part #40-000541. It has two connectors, an 8 pin and a 16 pin. I also have the connector that connects to the ITS wiring.

That is for the 48txt harness so you would need part number 625805 from Ezgo. Also will need a fnr switch and holder. Parts 624514G03 628027 and 2 628027

Thanks for the help! I have a f/r switch that Scotty sells and plan to put it in place of the current f/r and wire it to the new harness. Any reason that won’t work?

Nope. I think he uses the club car switch and housing but the cart won’t know the difference. May want to consider mounting it upside down to prevent accidental switching as well as protecting it from water.
