Re: 2007 ezgo RXV
Somewhere I have a photo from when I was a tow truck driver in the early 1990s, lifting a golf cart out of a swimming pool.
It was a Sunday morning. There had been a party Saturday night... |

Re: 2007 ezgo RXV
I just pulled some parts off an old dead cart that reportedly didn't have the swimmies feature.

Re: 2007 ezgo RXV
A year ago right before the end of the season I had to work on a flood special--someone bought a limo Club Car Precedent that you could tell by the water lines and oxidation that it had swam or been in a flood (He said he bought it at an auto salvage auction and it was from Katrina so that cemented it) and he was going to spend anything it took. It had a nice body, but everything electronic was a mess. The solenoid fell apart in my hands, the wires fell apart just by touching them. The frame was breaking apart.
It took more money than a new golf car would (16 grand!) Had to learn to weld aluminum, and put a new SepEX control system and wiring harness (had to make the harness myself--club car won't sell one for a limo!) and it was headache inducing. We tried multiple times to convince him that us building another from one of our Precedents would be far more economical but he wasn't hearing it. Sometimes you can't win with people. RXVs that have been underwater would likely be worse, given they're completely drive-by-wire and parts are not cheap! No aftermarket parts for those that I know of (except Navitas but that's a rabbit hole I'm going to avoid for my own sanity) |

Re: 2007 ezgo RXV
Chances are the controller is shot so time for some upgrades. Look into the newer Curtis 350 amp controller and a new style wire harness. Throttle and brake pots might be okay but I would not count on it. None of these swim well.

Pull your floor mat up and look in the pedal box area.
