accessory mounting terminal
Hi guys,
Was wondering if someone could help me out? I just got my OBC for my 2007 DS 48 volt (4 battery) cart. I installed the computer but there is one black 10 guage wire that comes out of the controller (it's also attached to the main negative lead going into the controller) that has a yellow female bullet connector on the one end. What also came with the obc was another 10 guage wire (about 8 inches long) with a male end that plugs into the female end of this wire coming out of the controller. At the other end of this 8 inch wire is a ring terminal that supposedly gets attached to the accessory mounting terminal which I don't think I have and not sure where it would be. My old harness didn't have this 8 inch cable and the 10 guage wire coming out of the controller didn't have anything attached to it ... it was just hanging there. I don't have any accessories on this cart yet so maybe that's why it was the way it was. However, should I just ground this to the cart's frame somewhere?? If you need a pic I can take one but not sure how to post it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about and can help me out I'd really appreciate it a bunch. I'm worried about turning the tow switch over and trying the charger (that was the original problem) to see if it now works. Thanks in advance. |

Re: accessory mounting terminal
i don't know exactly what you are talking about... but i do know that it does not go to the frame! there should be 2 black cables... one goes to the back of the charge receptacle, the other goes on the Negative end of your battery pack (ie: at the last battery or on the Neg- input on the controller). make sense? if not i'll try to dig up a diagram.

Re: accessory mounting terminal
Okay, here is a picture of the old computer and harness. The negative lead that comes from the negative battery terminal that goes through the computer to the controller has a pigtail small 10 guage wire attached to the end of it too that attaches to the controller. I've laid out the 8 inch wire (from the new computer package) there as well that's supposed to go into the female end of that pigtailed wire. My old computer didn't have that 8 inch wire or at least I don't remember it. The instructions that came with the new computer said to attach the ring end of that 8 inch wire to the "terminal accessory block" and the female connector end to the male end on the pigtailed battery end. I don't have a accessory block that I know of at least not within 8 or so inches. Do I just not use that 8 inch wire in this case? Thanks again.
