Lift for 87 Marathon

The only lift I can find for an 87 marathon are the block lift kits. I was really wanting to do the whole front axle lift as mine is bent.
The ones that I like say they fit 89 and up...

I am assuming there is a difference, but I was wondering what the difference was and if this could be modified pretty easily?

Same thing with the head light kit....what is the difference?

Thanks...interesting information although I could not see the photos.
Anyone have any experience installing a lift on the older Marathons? My front axle is already bent so I am looking to install a axle lift like the Jakes, but can't find one for the older Marathons.

Call jakes lift company and ask them. I called them and they set me up for my 91 marathon. You will have to do some fabing however as they should taper the bottom of the tierod end lift rather than the top and I also tapered my spindles for cross bar to fit the top also. this keeps the cross bar from hanging below the jakes lift spindle kit. I would realy like to see some better directions and pics of instalation as the ones that come with the kit are very poor.

I did talk to Jakes and they said that they have been told that it can be modified, but that they have never done it. Hopefully someone on here has done it before.
