Default 08 Yamaha Electric Beeping Noise

I have an '08 Electric Yamaha cart that is making a faint beeping noise. The only way to make it stop is by putting the cart in tow mode. Any idea what this might be? The cart has new batteries.

Is the faint beeping coming from the controller area, or from the front cowl?

I would check the motor brushes. had a similar issue on DC set up couple of weeks ago. On jack stands as soon as i touched the throttle pedal it would start beeping and it wouldnt quit till i turned the battery off or hit the tow run switch. On flat ground it started getting a little jerky on take off. I put it back on jack stands and ran it a little bit with the tires spinning and when i let off it would not move the tires if pushed again. Pulled motor and had two brushes stuck out. Cleaned the brushes up and the beep went away and it ran fine.
