Solenoid clicks rapidly

Hi I hope someone can offer some advice. I have a 1990 36 volt electric parcar. When the gas pedal is pressed the solenoid clicks rapidly. Originally the Forward solenoid stuck closed and the cart would not stop. I replaced the forward solenoid and the cart was running. I put a kill switch in just in case the solenoid were to stick again. I tied the kill switch between the 3rd and 4th batteries. When I mounted the switch I did not realize the switch was touching the metal kick plate and was grounding out. Once I removed the kill switch the cart wont move and the F and R solenoids only click. I replaced both solenoids again but it didnt fix it.

If you think about what situation it takes to make a solenoid click it might help. Power gets to the coil pulling the plunger in, then for some reason the power to the coil goes away when the main contacts close, rinse and repeat. Either it is wired wrong or you have a massive short pulling the coil voltage down.

Ended up being a short in one of the batteries.
