the rearend and motor must be out of a older rig, as the 1984-1986 parts manual shows 1984 as my rearend and 1985-current with motor over axle.
What year did they quit using tranverse motor to axle?

20052004 I could be wrong and it is a 1982. The first 3 numbers are the model number and the next 2 are the month and year of manufacture.
Western first started making golf cars in 1981 and I think their last car was produced in late 2006.

Hard to wear those numbers out, they're stamped into the frame rail. Maybe with a little light or a crayon rubbed over it you could read.
