Default Did I kill my batts?

92 36v marathon, 500a FSIP controller, HD solenoid, 4ga cables, 4” lift on 22” tires. Two year old Duracell 6v batts that I slacked to check the water levels over the past six months... I started noticing decreased performance in top speed and torque. Checked water levels and the plates were dry and exposed. I’ve since filled with distilled water hoping performance would return. It’s been a couple of weeks but still seems sluggish at times although some outings seem better. Pack is measuring 38.4v and each batt 6.3-6.4 day after charge. Are there other tests I can do? Am I looking at my 48v upgrade earlier than expected?

Thanks in advance!!

yes you have done irreversible damage to your batteries over the past six months . the only test you can do now is "under load" and see how far down the pack is dropping . you can also load test each battery to see if you have one worse then the others.

Thanks Swan. I was afraid of that. What would be considered acceptable levels when testing under load?

Does this chart hold true when testing under load? Are you measuring low point of voltage upon takeoff or once it stabilizes? I’ve never done this test before. Thanks again

Here is a recent link that will explain acceptable voltage drop when under load.
