Default 91 Marathon - Possible to adjust throttle POT?

Hello all,

I am working on a lithium upgrade on my cart and I'm at the 2 yard line and ran into an issue. Specs of system:

91 Marathon - Series Cart with stock potentiometer throttle input
7 cell lithium leaf pack currently reading 57VDC
Sergios HV/LV relay setup with Chinese BMS
Alltrax SR48400
HD F&R switch
400A Solenoid
All new wiring

I tried to fire it up for the first time yesterday and I'm getting a fault on the controller. 2 green, 3 red, which correlates to "High Throttle Over Range". So, I pulled the black/white wires from the pot and hooked them to my meter. I'm expecting a 0-5k signal, but actual readings are 2.0-7.1 . I assume this is my issue. What's weird is that before I replaced all of these components, the cart ran perfectly fine with the 6x6 batteries and the stock controller. Is there a way to adjust that pot to bring it back into range? If I put it in neutral, the fault clears and on the Alltrax software throttle page I can see the green bar move with pedal input, so I know its getting an input. Any help is appreciated! I'm ready for this thing to tear it up!

You can depending upon the model loosen the pivot shaft arm and carefully turn the shaft counterclockwise about 5-10º. Tighten the clamp and retest.
Ideally you should get between 200-400 at the low end and no more then 6000 at the top but note that 4600 is enough to yield a full throttle response.

Not sure if it helps, but here is a picture I took while tearing things down. It looks like I may be able to adjust what you say. I assume the item circled it what you are talking about?

Here's a couple of things that may help.

Ok, now I'm getting frustrated. Came home from work, adjusted the throttle arm and dialed in the pot.

Pedal up - 1.0 ohm
Pedal down - 4.885 Kohm

Should be just about perfect. Controller still throws same error. As soon as I turn the key on, the monitor throws a fault. When I check the monitor screen I have 3 red items.

- Low Throttle Input Over Range
- High Throttle Input Over Range
- Shutdown (I assume this is because of the other 2 faults)

I just don't understand how the controller can throw a high throttle input over range as soon as I turn the key on. I double checked the throttle input and it is set for 0-5k 2 wire.

Any ideas? I'm hoping it's not a bad controller.

Have you tried clearing the Auto-Cal?

IIRC - Right click on Controller tab to get to it.
