IF the pack voltage is 36 volts that is considered dead. You need a volt meter to check things. Walmart carries them.

Okay. I am not familiar with golf carts. I have never worked on one before. Once I get the volt meter, what parts do I need to check with it?

Okay. Check the battery pack voltage. In it simplist form this reading can be taken at the charger plug in. We may have trouble if you have no elctrical or mechanical back ground.... sometimes money spent on a DVM is wasted and better spend employing a golf cart tech...... PS everyone says all it needs is batteries Did you put new cables on it? Have you charged the batteries?

it is recommended to always install new cables between the batteries when you put new batteries in ..... they corrode and resist amperage after a few yrs.
You can't do any diagnostics without a DVM and a working knowledge of how DC electric works .... A common golf cart is not a simple thing.
