Before I install stock 36V in a 48V CC
97 CC 48V, stock electronics... what happens when you install a stock 36V motor? From reading others post, it will increase some performance. I use cart to travel the Navy base, several miles per day, so far it is working great with stock 48V, but I acquired a new stock 36V that I would like to know the performance difference, but any pre-insight would be handy..

Depending upon the condition of the motor, your battery pack, your amperage delivery system.
You will see up to a 30% increase in overall torque and speed. The best results will be seen with a 400 amp controller and 4g cable setup with a 200a solenoid. |

Scottb,
If he just installs the 36v motor with stock electrical he will get 25% ro 33% gains in speed and torque. But if he adds the 400 amp controller etc to that 36v motor mod, what will the gains look like? Could he (me) install a 500amp controller to the stock motor? |

The addition of a larger amp controller into the system puts all the other components in the system at risk. You will also need to upgrade or change the
Solenoid, the F&R, & the Cables  |

Is this healthy for a "stock" 36V motor? Or will it burn up with in a few miles?

36v motors just LOVE 48v. I have never heard of a failure related to this voltage condition yet. Mine (EZ-Go Series motor) has been this way for years now, and I just love it.
