Exclamation drive clutch spring

I installed 200 rpm spring in drive clutch. worked good , shift gears at idle, but i noticed a click noise when i shut off engine. it is the clutch snapping apart about a quarter of a inch at shutdown. this completely disengages the drive belt . the clutch and internals were in as new condition when disassembled.I did not disassemble any parts of clutch, just what i needed too for spring replacement. Is this normal with heavier spring is installed ?
