350 FE Header?
So I am working on a friend of mine's cart, it is a Club Car xrt 800 Maybe, it has the Fe 350 in it, this chassis looks identical to the Club Car DS.
His muffler has rusted completely off, I was wanting to use a header kit from CPP, But they do not show XRT's I played a before-and-after video of lockmans set up, that is just what we are looking for, hoping I am right about this, I want to pull the trigger Monday and get this kit coming..... |

Re: 350 FE Header?
The XRT800 has a DS engine and drivetrain, so the CPP DS exhaust will work!
I ordered the "non-lifted" kit, (after an extensive phone conversation with Tom) even though my cart was lifted from the factory, as most XRT800's are also! |

Re: 350 FE Header?
Thanks Don,
I was pretty sure that that header kit would work,(not wanting to over-think this) With the extensive conversation that you had with Tom, what was the gist of ordering the header for a non lifted cart? Not that it matters, I will order the header kit for a DS 350 FE, non lifted. I actually am the person, that put his Jake's 6in lift on. Still trying not to overthink this........lmao lifted / non lifted....... Non lifted that's my final answer....... |

Re: 350 FE Header?
I can't remember the difference between the lifted, and non-lifted headers,
all I can recall is Tom had mentioned something about a possibility that the lifted header may be too close to the body on a non-lifted drivetrain. It's been a while... If it's already lifted, talk with Bruce about it, and I'm sure that he'll give you the proper advice! |

Re: 350 FE Header?
I was going to place the order tomorrow, anyway.... But when I speak with Bruce I like to be somewhat knowledgeable of what I'm speaking, (such as asking for a not lifted for a lifted cart)
I am not the smartest dog on the porch, spent most of my time hiding underneath it...... Kind of like going to the drugstore, and getting a box of condoms extra large, when you know darn well you need to small... ........ Have you ever seen the serial number on a Trojan condom? (Wait for it) You're not rolling it back far enough....... Going back under the porch now....... |
