Shorter belt really works
Replaced per shorter belt sticky and wow, big difference. Raps out pretty fast and kept the rpms up on some of the smaller hills I tried. It'll actually spin the tires a bit now in the soft stuff. Not any different from a dead stop in torque, but once in gets rolling it's good too go. Had to take the driven clutch off to get the belt on with a crow bar if anyone else can't get the shorter belt on. Wish I would've done this before my camping trip up north. Thanks again BGW

Re: Shorter belt really works
Was it hard to shift? Sometimes they are a little too tight at first.... they stretch....
Glad to hear you are happy with the results |

Re: Shorter belt really works
As a matter of fact it is a bit hard too shift at times. Also when I put the rear tires on a curb it wont pull up over the curb and I can hear the belt slipping, is that normal?

Re: Shorter belt really works
Give a couple of weeks to break in .... meanwhile try to avoid slipping the belt

Re: Shorter belt really works
dont know what size tires you have but mine are 25 x 12 and I can crawl a curb with the 28 deg clutch and short belt.

Re: Shorter belt really works
They are 20X11 carlyles. If I bump the front up to the curb it pushes up over just fine, it's just the rear won't pull over unless I get a a foot or so back and then gas up over it. The curbs I'm refering too are the squared off curbs, if that makes a difference

Re: Shorter belt really works
The bigger tires are what does it since it puts the point at which the tire is attacking the curb or whatever at a lower point on the tire.

Re: Shorter belt really works
you could als take them at a 45 deg angle and see if that helps get over them.
