Yup welcome to the world of golf carts, ppl always think they can pick up an ole cart off a garage sale for $200 and make it run for $100 not usually the case,

True a $200 dollar cart will end up being a $ 1000 dollars or more most of the time-

Yup. Count me in on one of the newbs.

I never thought a part would be $300





So what is a group 26 battery? Can I go to walmart or Batteries plus and pick up a battery?

Is it a regular 12 volt?

I am also new to this forum and I also have a 1988 ezgo.

ya just take your core battery in with you, to either autozone/walmart or whatever, and tell them you need a group 26 with top posts.

okay then you will have to pay the 9+ core charge, and tell them you need a group 26 top post battery thats it
