red and green spliced together is fine. saved the factory a few inches of wire and a terminal. the d+ should run to the a side of the solenoid. not much diff., it just won't be hot all the time. try brew's idea and see what happens.

runs rough now on to fuel problems ? and clutch engaement probably not enough rpms. thanks for all the help on the hei mod !!!!!!!!!!

Can I replace the ignitor on my 1988 (Robin DISP 244 engine)with the Chev HEI Module with out replacing the Pulser?

yes. the pulsar stays untouched. the hei replaces your ignitor. works best with a new style coil.

The module should come with a small tube of heat transfer grease. Make sure you put it on the back of the module.These modules fail from overheating so heat transfer is important. The module will ground through the screws you install it with.Good luck with the change over it works very well.
