Re: 1994 EZ GO 2 stroke
Yep, that's definitely an 88 - engine type and position are correct, the 88-only exhaust mounts are there .... NOW, the bolt for the intake hole is an M6, a little loctite or silicone goo isn't a bad idea to ensure no air leakage, btw. As to the belt, let me do a little more research (as in pull my stock one off and get an exact measurement later this AM) because as I said, the 88 has a one-year-only oddball belt so to be safe, let me confirm it with my stock 88, OK?

Re: 1994 EZ GO 2 stroke
Are we talking about plugging at the carb? I pulled the reservoir out at and placed a cap with hose clamp at the intake near the fan. Now there is another hose coming out of that location to the carb. Should I pull that hose and cap at the fan again as well as place an M6 bolt at the carb connection?
Thanks again for all of your help. |

Re: 1994 EZ GO 2 stroke
most people just pull the entire pump assembly by the fan, but that's up to you - as to the other, yes, the hole on top of the intake elbow (where the oiler went) is what you want to plug with an M6 bolt

Re: 1994 EZ GO 2 stroke
Yea, I pulled the entire thing nd plugged per your instructions.
I spent the day cleaning it up, rewiring, changed spark plug, new fuel lines and filter, removed the oil pump and removed the governor comppnents (although none of it was functional) and it already seems like different cart. I tried to locate a belt at Napa and Oreilly and did not have any luck at either. Without removing my belt, I used a string and am coming up with 1-3/16"x45". I will keep looking and see what I can find. I also need to get a new throttle cable. Can someone point me in the best direction? |
