Carb problem???
I have a 99 workhorse.
Had a problem starting yesterday, once going it seemed fine after that. Though it was a bit hard starting once in the afternoon. This morning would not start, and a gassy smell. Came back a few hours later after hunting and same thing. I took off the air breather and when trying to start I could see the carb spitting out a little gas. I'm assuming a carb problem and it's flooding. Does that sound about right? Also I've noticed the last few weeks I don't seem to have as much pulling power on a big hill. Could this be attributed to carb problems, or maybe something else? Thanks. |

Re: Carb problem???
After talking to a guy today I decided to start with the valves. He told me that could be my starting problem.
Adjusted the valves to .004 and she started right up and ran fine. Haven't tackled the hill yet to see if I have more power, but it looks like it did solve my non starting problem. By the way I checked the valve adjustment tutorial before starting, and found you cannot click on the pictures to enlarge them anymore. I got by, but at my age a larger picture sure would help. |
