BBQing Muffler
We are under a burn ban here so I can't just throw my muffler in a bon fire. Do you think that heating it with a large propane burner would work? Might have to rotate it a few times so it heats evenly. I want to do this while I have the motor out.
Thanks, Matt |

Re: BBQing Muffler
that's worth a try. how about in a large bbq pit? it's starting to get cold here, maybe in the fireplace when your wife is at the store?

Re: BBQing Muffler
Failing a fire pit I think that I would use a kettle BBQ if you have one. The muffler is going to need at least 30 minutes which is going to be tedious if you are waving a propane wand over it.

Don't have too many brews and rub KC master sauce on the muffler.

Re: BBQing Muffler
I love KC! Unfortunately those mufflers still taste nasty! Does your burn ban include an enclosed fire in a barrel? That would do it. Your steamer pot burner should do it also, if nothing oozes out onto it.

Yes, burn ban includes a fire barrel. It may even include outside BBQ grills. I'll have to check.

I am guessing that you must live in East Texas where it hasn't rained for two years

To many people in your neighborhood Dave don't have this problem as do I. LOVE'N where I live.
