YAM YDRAE - way TOO FAST!
Sorry for the repeat post, I didn't title it right the first time, still learning.
2007 Yam Gas YDRAE is driving 30+ mph and the speed cannot be adjusted down. Someone had the governor zip tied and now it has to be slowed down and governor will not kick in no matter how far its adjusted down. Any ideas? |

Input shaft is trashed, seen it several times. Everything functions as normal, if cables adjusted right, BUT no top speed limiting at all. Will hit 30 without high speed gears, not good for engine.

I have seen so many reasons for the govenor seemingly not work. Zip tied,beer cans, golf tee's, bending the bracket for cable #2 at the transaxle and the latest one, grabbing and bending cable #2 at the carb, that won't let the throttle shaft return, no matter if the govenor is working correctly or not. I do agree with Gctech, seems the collar wears and the weights get past the collar, making the govenor internal system fail. Team transaxles....love'm or hate em. Good luck slowing down your toy!

Put you a kids foam football behind the pedal. Thats what i do when the kids drive our cart so they cant press it all the way to the floor..lmao
