Default Melex 212

Hello everyone, I just got a Melex 212 it needs a lot of work. I need new batterie and a charger also. My question is sense I need batteries and charger anyways what all would I need to do to make this a 48 volt? Is it as simple as changing out the solenoid to a 48 volt? Sense these carts have speed coils. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.
