Delta Q Charger Flashing Fault

I have a 72V Delta Q charger. It's flashing red which is a charge error.
I put brand new batteries in this cart and the pack reads 76v.
I plugged in the charger and it gave the error. Figured it was because it was fully charged. Now I have 1/2 charge and still reading the same error.
Any help would be appreciated.

How many flashes on the red LED? I attached the charger sheet so you can check it out.

76V is way high for the battery pack. Are you sure of that number? If correct that would probably cause an error code. Voltage that high would suggest you put in 8V batteries.

The charger for a DQ72v can out out up to 100volts. At that time the current is extremely low but the overcharge is necessary to fully charge the pack. Reading 76 is nothing to be concerned with unless it is happening at the top led with bulk current.

The charger might be OK up to 100 V but the batteries will be really unhappy at 9.5V ea. Putting into perspective that would be a charging voltage of 19V on a 12v battery....they would be gassing like crazy. Consider that an equalizing charge for a 12V battery is around 15V ish. I still think something is wrong either with the reading or the batteries/installation. Just wondering if that 76V might be open circuit voltage of the charger.

The cart Is a 72v. There are 6 - 12v batteries in the cart.

A full cell would be 2.3 volts. A 6 volt has three cells, would equal 6.9 for a total of 55.2 on a 48 volt cart. Same math applies.

12 volt has 6 cells, would equal 13.8 per battery and a six pack is 82.8 total.

In charging, the voltage MUST be considered as much as the current is.

But you never told us how many red flashes to help with the question that started this.

OK, that explains it. I didn't realize Columbia made a 72V cart.

Ok so here are the red flashes. Not sure which ones mean anything. I am assuming when you initially plug the charger in.

I plugged in the charger, blinks twice, pauses, blinks twice, pauses on & on. When I unplugged it blinks 4 times, pauses for about 4 times until all lights go out
