Default Yamaha Drive 2 PowerTech AC controller max voltage?

Does anyone know what the max input voltage is for the Toyota 48M350 controller? I would like to know if it will live on 58.8 volts. I drove one today and I’m impressed.

If the 48350 input voltage is the same as the 48450 then i think I’m good to go for a leaf pack. Looks like 63 Volts.

Hey Raak,

Do you own a drive 2 yet? I'm thinking about getting one for my next build.

I haven't been able to put my hands on one yet! I'd really like some pics of the drivetrain. The independent rear suspension will be crucial for the build.

I think the independent rear axle is on the gas version only. Electric is still full transaxle, u shape frame and now with drum brakes. I will try and get some pics of the rear section and post them tomorrow.

I can confirm, independent suspension on gas models only. I think they are ironing out how to fit the motor and axle section, while not having too short a axle shaft on one side. The shorter the axle, the steeper the angles in the CV joint, and steeper CV angles increase wear.

Just took these pics today of AC cart w/o independent suspension and Gas with it. Talking to my Yamaha guy at the shop, he chuckled when I said they need vertical mount with a redesigned gear case for independent electric rear. Motor change would be a breeze.

Thanks guys! I did a little more research after posting and saw they are still using the swing arms.

What a bummer I feel like with lithium on the verge of taking over they would have been putting all their efforts on the electric platform.
