Re: melex rear end info
this is wat i have to work with. i plan on widening the wheel base and useing the stock motor and trans in my melex 252. i'll also use the front suspension because its dual a-arm instead of a single a-arm and a leaf spring. any suggestions?

Re: melex rear end info
So much for the +-+- stuff! now I would like some info on how to seporate the motor from the differential assembly. anything short of a large crow bar would be helpful. An illustrated parts breakdown would be really helpful......

Re: melex rear end info
Melex is an ALMOST identical copy of an E-Z-GO, the early 212 and 412 models have a KEYED brake drum which is almost impossible to get off. After the 412, they went to a DANA rear end which is like the ez-go, They could not get rear ends in time for their first production. Be sure to measure shaft dia if it has small splines. There are two sizes. Last import to US was 1996 per Andy at Fore-Par. He was a factory rep for many years. If you need parts send photo to rrgolfcart@bellsouth.net. or post here. Melex was manufactured in MELEC, Poland. (they also copied and built airplanes)

Re: melex rear end info
Thanks A lot. I got it apart with a Hammer and a large crow bar. Now we're Having the motor rewired. Hopefully we'll have a running golf cart in a week or so...
