You need to go by "pedal time". If you went up the street for 5 minutes and came back, and set your timer on 12 hours, you would be overcharging your cart and those new battries....not good. If you did the same trip and charged it 1 hour, you would be under charging your batteries...again..not good. The meter on your charger does not tell you if your batteries are charged or not, but could be used to help you properly charge your new batteries. Good rule of thumb if you dont want to buy a meter. If you use your cart for between 10 to 20 minutes, charge it 9 hours, if you use it over that, charge it the full 12 hours. You would do this for about the first year if you used your cart on a regular basis. You would then start to cut DOWN the charge time as the batteries got older, this will give you the longest lifreout of your batteries. Or you could forget all of this and just buy an electronic timer and convert your charger to a fully automatic. Im not sure who is second best on this site but, you can see why Im number 1. Thanks for listening, by bye and buy bonds.
Who are you? Did I miss something?

question! if i have a powerwise charger! does that just automatically charge the batteries until they are full? cause i typically just plug mmy cart in and leave it like that in my cart shed at my club! am i missing something here! i thought the charger automatically cycles through and just keeps charging until the batteries are full! is this not the case? i have a 2000 ezgo txt with a powerwise charger! just curious! stating to think maybwe im not charging my batteries all the way! i usually play 18 then plug her in and leave her!

Goofy you are fine, your charger is automatic. We are talking about 1980s technology here. Charging after use is correct.

Actually it is a common social affliction among people who do just one thing until they can't speak politely about it any more.
