The collar is for the spring on the shock. Shouldn't do either, just stiffen the spring so the shock doesn't compress as much.

No. Don't do that. There's got to be another avenue to find shocks...Those yamaha shocks are crazy priced! Luckily Curti came through for me. (He's the MAN!).

I thought you said you had a buddy with a shop and all kinds of shocks to choose from. What happened to that guy?

Brandon, the collar pre loads the spring on the shock to make it think there is more of a load on it than really is. So it is a stiffer ride, but doesn't bottom out as easy. doesn't make the shock longer, but takes more weight before it starts to compress. I know I explained it poorly.

Jimmy, just a few days ago, you said I was the man! Now just who's "THE MAN"?

Curti, I'm stirrin the pot!!

Wow, this thread is a hundred pages long, and its still at the top. Who'da thunk it?
And still only 8 or so members!

Bunch a weirdo's man!

Spot's broke! Got a loose starter belt or something. Wife and daughter out getting fire wood with it and when it came back, front mud flap torn off and starter spins but doesn't turn the motor. Brought it home tonight. Clean it up this week, and take a look. Dang!... Still runs tho, so nothin serious, I believe.

All the shocks he has are for four wheelers and side by sides. Most of the coilovers are too short. But we will look through the pile when I come back from the cabin this weekend.
Mike that's not good. Poor spot he got so worried about Curts cart that he has sympathetic pains lol
