Default Star Made in China

Without mentioning names l was talking to an auto CC dealer and mentioned
Star Carts had an outdoor booth at my community vender day and this guy went ballistic.

He said that they carried Star for a short time but because of multiple problems they dropped the line. It was made by China. Not sure if it was put together here in the Carolina's with parts made in China or it wad just imported.

But he did say that Star could be better now then when they first came here.

My opinion is that they are priced right and look good on the service but
being that they are made in China l would pass.

I heard Star treated their dealers very poorly.

Got my Star on a tax credit deal, so basically a free cart. I've pushed it hard for work and play. I broke a few things and the experiences I've had with my dealer and with Star have been mostly positive. See my historical thread in this same section.

I would have much rather bought a EZGO or Club Car, but at the time of this limited window of the tax credit, no other brands had an acceptable cart that met the IRS guidelines, so I ended up with a Star and sold my Marathon.

Mine might be made with a Chinese frame, but all the guts are typical names you'd expect in the industry - Curtis controllers and Trojan batteries, for example.

For the last 3 years, it's been doing the job for me.
