Default help me on how to install 8:1 gears on a G2 yamaha electric golf cart

Welcome to BGW! You will need to buy the gear set and a new case halve gasket, maybe buy some seals while your at it. The transaxle assy will need the be removed and the axle'axle housings unbolted. The cases will need to be seperated (make shure you take it apart slowly) and keep the gear clusters and shim's as a unit. Change the ring and counter gear, reassemble (with the new gasket) and your going faster. Good luck

Thanks for the advise I have purchased all the parts needed and will let you know how it turns out. Do I need to upgrade the motor right away or will the stock one work fine.
