![]() I'm guessing that it might be pretty hard to make a blanket statement regarding parts interchangeability between the two, but, if you go to the "stickies" at the beginning of the threads you will see one labeled (Yamaha Owners Manuals/Parts Catalog ). If you then go to this site, you can find individual Yamaha part numbers for each model. Might be a little cumbersome, but you will then know for sure what parts interchange and what parts don't. I know this is not the answer you were looking for, but it will work

![]() Brake shoes (j55-w2536-00-00) yes, brake cables are differant part numbers, don't know if the G8's are as long as the G5's. Front wheel bearings show differant numbers also, if not available from Yamaha, I'm shure a bearing company could get them. Don't mean to be a dark cloud, just trying to help.

![]() When you order brake shoes, make DANG sure you get "Genuine Yamaha" shoes, Like Block is suggesting!! Huge difference in stopping performance!!

![]() Thanks Small Block.I can see why the cables would be longer on the 5a. I checked 4/5 items only . I was mainly interested in Brake shoes for now so will double check other items if needed. The classic is a dream and fast, fast!! Haven't clocked it yet but think it is at least 18/19mph.

![]() A little cheat for Yamaha bearings... here an example PN, 93306-004X5, wheel bearing for all dana axle except Umax.... 9330 seems to be a prefix for most all Yamaha roller bearings. 6004 is the main number. X5 refers to the seal type or
lack of seal. this seems to work for most all the roller bearings in the axle, front wheel bearings, and even starter and drive motor armature bearings. if you need to find bearings at your local parts house this may be alot of help, it sure has helped me. |

![]() SmallBlk-It is running so sweet I will run as is until next summer then decide. Moving in Jan to Liberty Lake where they have a "Golf Cart Zone" for the whole town. No license required, etc. there are 3 golf courses so seems everyone runs around in carts. I have already been offered $1,000 more than I paid for the Classic but not for sale!!
