Default Jake's Wheelbase Extension and 12" Wheels

I placed Jake's Wheelbase Extension Kit on my '93 DS and then borrowed some tires and wheels from my friends RXV to see if there were any clearance issues. There is more clearance in the front end now than I had with stock tires and wheels before I added the kit. The wheels are 12x7 with a 3+4 offset and 215/50-12 tires. With enough weight in the cart and hitting bumps there might be some rubbing issues but doesn't appear to be any now.

On a side note, I had my clutches machined and with these tires and wheels I hit the rev limiter when I hit 24 mph which is 4 mph faster at the same point with my stock tires and wheels.

I am now in the market for some 215/50-12 street tires with 12x7 3+4 wheels.

After further investigation I believe the wheels may actually be 12x6 with a 2.5" + 3.5" offset.

Yours looks closer than mine and you have 40 series tires. It may be the wheels the wheels on mine are 12x6 with 2.5+3.5 offset. The half inch offset gives mine ample clearance horizontally but mine also appears to have more clearance vertically as well.

Wish I had that mill, I have brand new bits for a mill still have the wax on them. Used to have a shop years ago, probably have over 5k in bits.
