Late 80's or early 90's
I have just aquired a workhorse (Project cart) Pretty rough , but it runs. At least it did til the drivers side hub stripped. I have another one on the way.
Not sure of the year it has a Robin 295 4-cycle. I can get the numbers inside the dash to be sure. One ? i had after reading some threads on valve adjustment, mine have probably never been adjusted(pretty noisy), should i get right on this? will it help with performance? It runs pretty good just a little weak on the low end! I will have many other ?s but gotta get back to work for now! JG |

Re: Late 80's or early 90's
Too loose isn't good, resulting in unneccessary hammering of tappet assembly. But performance loss comes from too tight.... May be some are loose and others are tight? I would get on the valve adjustment pronto Do a compression check.....
