Default 92 ezgo..new carb..Part Missing?

I bought a new carb for my 92 ezgo 2 stroke....the float keeps sticking..and runs out of gas...looked at float and it does not have the wire thing that holds the needle valve to float...It should have one right?

Yes it should, most any from a float style carb be it a lawn mower carb or similar should work.
Or return it and ask them to replace it.
Can you rob the one out of the old carb?

Ok, thinking about the fuel flow, gas flows in from the pump through the needle and seat but it flows down pushing the needle open.
The needle shouldn't actually need the spring clip I've just always seen them on them.
If there is no ring around the needle for the clip then it must not have one and relies on fuel pressure and gravity to open it when the float drops.
Since it is a new carb, Have you checked fuel pump pressure? tried another pump?

it has new fuel pump on it...i looked at needle valve..it does not have grove for clip...also noticed that the needle valve was upside down...the black rubber tip was pointed toward float and plunger was pointing down..maybe that was it....will find out
