Tom if I put new ramps and buttons in a clutch can I give the spring a little extra preload to compensate for it's old age? Or should I leave well enough alone ... Or am I a cheap fool for not buying a new spring

Ok guys we are all on the same page and maybe the manual should be re-written. But I tried it and you definitely turn the Clutch cam clockwise if you are in fact turning the clutch cam (the **** thing that wears out if your ramp buttons are wore out) itself. I did go the 140 deg and it worked great. I also made a tool to do this with and it worked great even did it myself.
Thanks for everyones input and I hope we all learn a little something, atleast I did.

Scotty
Sure you can preload more. There are 3 to 6 settings for preload depending on what model and what brand your workin on.

Gphox, Can see a pic or drawing of the tool you made to do this? I'm big on homemade solutions
