can this be re-used...
this post should be called " what can i get away with, and still go to heaven".can this be cleaned up and used. right now it snaps closed rather than a smooth slide. i see the shaft has a little rust on it. does this come apart, so i can clean it up?

Alot of life left clean it up with crous cloth and check the bushing in the sliding sheave.
Check the arms for wobble on the pivot pins. AND GET THE EXHAUST OUT THE HOLE. |

You need what is called a grunt tool. You unthread the spyder, that part with the little rollers, then the sliding sheave will come off the shaft. Where are you located?

Can't find a good pic of the tool.
Think I got one, not it has three pins that reach down and engage the spyder. |

yea, i umm..... dont have the cash for a new one , its gonna sit this winter while i pretty it up, i guess. but, if i have to.... what can i get away with. can it be rebuilt, ( apparently not if you are telling me to get a new one)

Shag, Mike said it looks as if the movable sheave has a lot of wear on the face. It is hard to tell on my screen, is there a groove or concave area on the face?

Mike I was looking at the tower buttons and the spyder it doesn't look like there has been any real wear in that area.
