Workhorse 350 Carb?
I had some carb issues with my 99 ST 350 Workhorse. I put a new 295 carb on it but put my jets in it from my old carb because it wasn't getting enough fuel. It is running great now. Is this ok to do? The only difference I could see was that the throat was slightly larger. I looked it up and there are 2 different part #'s for the 295 and the 350. The reason I went this route was price. Free! Anybody else do this? Thanks

Re: Workhorse 350 Carb?
I think that the only difference is the jet!! You should be alright, I put a 295 carb on a 350 a year ago and its still running.

Re: Workhorse 350 Carb?
There are MCI carbs and pre MCI carbs. What year cart did the replacement come from?

Re: Workhorse 350 Carb?
Don't know, look at your parts book as there are pre MCI and MCI carbs from OEM. Jets? Venturi? Bore? There is a difference, but I've never had the need to research it...

Re: Workhorse 350 Carb?
I don't know. What I've heard is that there is a difference in either or all of the following:
jets bore venturi design Whether that has an odd effect on a pre or post MCI, I don't know? I just know that there are different carbs available for the different motors... |
