Default Battery upgrade

I have a 2007 ezgo st 2+2 with underglow headlight tailights and a stero. I run it at a campground. I was wondering should I upgrade the battery so I could run the underglow and radio longer. If I upgrade the battery do I need to upgrade the terminal connection? What would be a good battery to replace the stock battery?

You will have to modify your battery tray, but when we need more battery power for stereo / accessories we add an Optima

What do you have to do to the battery tray? Do you have to upgrade the terminal connections?

Stock batteries are a certain size (60/70 series). To get the larger 12 volt size in, you will need to grind off the "L" shaped stop in the front section of the tray.

Should I invest in a battery tender so it keeps a charge when I at a site or something

If you think it's an issue then maybe you should. i would just get a big deep cycle battery instead of the pricey optima if I felt a need for it. I have a jumper pack that I carry around when going on extended trips in the cart, it also has a compressor and some other features for the just in case scenarios
