Default 244cc Robin can't keep running

Hey guys,
I just picked up this cart a few days ago and have trying to work out the kinks. I plugged the oil injection and mixed synthetic 2 stroke premix 75:1. I also sodered a loose wire back together, changed spark plug, I had it running today but it was blowing some smoke when it was at full throttle is this normal?
After it sat a few hours i couldn't get it to start again. I'm not sure if i have the fuel line completely free of air or if the fuel pump is even working. Is there a way to test this? Should I try to take apart the carb for cleaning or is it potentially more trouble then its worth? (possibly damaging parts)

Thanks

If it's not working right then I see no downside to taking the carb apart. if it set for an a extended time then there's a good chance the fuel deliverery system needs cleaned. your fuel pump may have a tore diaphram, your crank seals may be bad. if the seals are bad the fuel mix won't get pushed through the engine for proper combustion.

I'll give it a try as well as throwing the muffler in a BBQ. Thanks

Maybe selling your starter/generator to ski would help....

i am by no means a carb expert but it sounds like a leaky diaphram like ruredy mentioned.. as it sits the fuel/oil leaks into the cylinders and causes the extra smokey condition..

So today I had enough time to take apart and clean carb and fuel pump. They were in GREAT shape! After putting it back together and bleeding fuel lines it started right up. I had the muffler off the cart and I'm sure its full of old oil. I'm hoping it will run great after the muffler is bbq'ed and put back on.
