If the light was on solid on both wires it means the coil was not being pulsed. So the problem probably is not the coil. This leaves the pulser coil and the ignition module. Good luck.

I'm guessing the pulsar coil is more likely to go out then ignition module. Is there a way to test both to see which is bad?

Well, with a volt meter and the pulser unplugged. Hook a volt meter to the pulser wires and it should produce about a half a volt ac when cranking. A lab scope is a better tool to check one of these but a volt meter will do.
P.S. from what I have learned on this forum the pulsers go bad more frequently than the modules. Good luck... |
